Tomatoes Keep Your Skin Looking Healthy and Young

If you want to look a lot younger, then there are several tomato treatments you should look into. First of all, you can start with a classic tomato mask.

All you need to do is take a fresh, juicy tomato and cut it into very thin slices. Take those slices and apply them to your face for fifteen minutes. After the time is up use one slice and rub it all over your face in order to allow the juices to sink in properly. Take the bits of tomato off your face, but leave the residue. Don’t wash your face just yet. Let it soak deeply in your pores.

If you do it right, then the juices in the tomato should remove the dry skin and leave your face feeling smooth and soft.

Among the benefits of tomatoes is also the fact that it can help get rid of blackheads. All you have to do is use the slices as a face peel, rubbing them over your face and focusing on areas with blackheads. The acids in the vegetable will remove dead layers of skin while the vitamin C will heal damaged areas.

One of the worst things that can happen to your skin is sunburn. It hurts and it can also cause permanent damage that will leave your skin looking wrinkled and much older. Luckily for you, one of the health benefits of tomatoes is healing sunburns.

In order to do it properly, you will want to take a few tomato slices and dip them in buttermilk. Then simply apply these slices to the affected areas and leave them on for ten minutes. If you prefer, you can also make a paste out of the tomato slices mixed with a tablespoon of buttermilk and apply it like this.

Either way, the tomatoes should help relieve the pain and make the sunburn look more like a tan.

However, for the most efficient tomato cleanse, you will want to mix a tomato with a few almonds in a blender. This rough paste should be applied to your face and rubbed thoroughly. Afterwards make sure to rinse with cold water. It should give your face a much smoother texture and restore some of its youthful color.
