Cloves contain an ingredient called eugenol which, along with the flavonoids including kaempferol and rhamnetin, work as an anti-inflammatory. If you already eat a diet high in anti-inflammatory nutrients adding clove is said to increase the benefits by almost a third.

As fennel is also an excellent anti-inflammatory these make a brilliant combination.

Serve at room temperature.

Ingredients

Serves : 2
=> 1 Large pineapple
=> 1 Large carrot
=> 1 Globe of fennel
=> Small pinch of ground cloves

Preparation

=> Chop up your pineapple and fennel into small bite size pieces, using a peeler slice your carrots into thin strips.
=> Not too long or too wide or else its tricky to eat.
=> Toss all these together and sprinkle with a very small pinch of ground clove.
