They not only contain potassium, but also calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, copper and Vitamins A, B6, C and D and are therefore perfect for the growing fetus.

During pregnancy, when many mothers are prone to dehydration, all types of melons are considered healthy food. Melons contain large reserves of water and hence are diuretic. Your trip to the supermarket should definitely bring back a few large melons as perfect healthy food for pregnant mothers.

Have you ever loved the lovely rosy red colour of the beetroot? They are an extremely good addition to the pregnancy diet. They contain biotin, which help replace Vitamin B choline in your blood.

What’s more, the greens of the beet contain calcium, iron and Vitamin A and are also known to contain a cancer preventing catalase. Therefore, this should be a definite addition to your healthy food for pregnant mothers.

During your pregnancy, even if you denounce all the other vegetables, you should never say good bye to carrots. They are rich in Vitamin A and in addition also contain potassium and Vitamins B, C, D and E.
