Chocolate Truffles Recipe

Ingredients (Makes 8-10 Truffles)

3/4 cup dry dates, pitted
1 ripe banana
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup raw walnuts
1 tbsp raw cocoa powder
1 tbsp agave nectar
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
Additional raw cocoa powder for rolling

Made only with good-for-you raw ingredients and incredibly delicious, these chocolate truffles contain one of the aphrodisiacs from 1001 Arabian Nights cardamom the secret of a romantic Valentines evening.

Preparation

=> Combine the walnuts, coconut oil and chopped dates in a food processor, and blend well until the mixture holds together.

=> Add the agave nectar, the ground cardamom and the cocoa powder and mix again, until you obtain a kind of sticky dough.

=> Cover with plastic foil and let it cool in the refrigerator for one hour, as the coconut oil will thicken the mixture.

=> Remove from the refrigerator and prepare the truffles.

=> Scoop the mixture with a tablespoon, and roll it between your oiled palms to form a ball.

=> Place some cocoa powder on a plate, and roll the little truffle in it.

=> Repeat until you transform the whole mixture in little truffle balls.

=> Store in the refrigerator and sprinkle them with cacao powder before serving.
